Connection Issues

Each of the players we offer uses a different set of “rules” to connect to your device. Some internet service providers (ISPs) don’t recognize the data as streaming media, and so they helpfully “hang up” the connection every few minutes rather than use data needlessly. The “grey bar” is our player most frequently subject to this issue.

Folks report better success by just letting their browser open the connection in a new window. Using the links below, your ISP is less likely to hang up the connection. Listeners report being able to listen continuously this way:

You may also wish to use your favorite of the many apps like TuneIn, iHeart, or Spotify that your ISP recognizes as a stream they shouldn’t stop! In short, there are dozens of ways to listen to Radio Kansas, and if your ISP won’t support one of them, simply choose another!
